abstract The present invention relates to a chicken genotyping test using the technique of polymorphisms of the length of the restriction fragments of genomic DNA, characterized in that:@ - after taking the high molecular weight DNA from the erythrocytes of the blood of the chicken tested,@ - this DNA is subjected to fragmentation by at least one restriction enzyme, and@ - the fragments obtained are hybridized with a molecular probe originating from a chain coding for a Beta chain of a class II antigen of chicken major histocompatibility complex,@ - the hybridized fragments and their size are identified in order to assign a genotype to the chicken.
