THE INSULATION INCLUDES AN INSULATING LOAD AND A BINDER, THE INSULATING LOAD IN THE FORM OF A HOMOGENEOUS, UNSTRATIFIED MIXTURE OF VARIOUS PARTICLES OF WHICH AT LEAST 20 ARE CONSTITUTED OF CLAY OF THE MONTMORILLONITE, ILLITE OR HALLOYSITE TYPE. A PASSIVE INSULATION CAN BE ADDED TO THE INSULATING LOAD, AND THE BINDER USED IS OF A MINERAL OR ORGANIC NATURE. THE INVENTION IS PARTICULARLY INTENDED FOR THE THERMAL PROTECTION OF PYROTECHNICAL MATERIALS SUBJECT TO A SEVERE ENVIRONMENT. |
