titleOfInvention COPOLYMERS OF VINYL CHLORIDE AND METHOD OF PREPARATION
abstract Copolymers of vinyl chloride and method of preparation. Said copolymers comprise a monomeric composition based on vinyl chloride and at least one polyfunctional compound. Said polyfunctional compound is an alkadiene of formula: CH2 = CH - (CH2) x - CH - CH2 in which x is an integer from 1 to 25. Said copolymers comprise in moles from 99 to 99.9% and preferably from 99%. , 5 to 99.9% of said monomer composition based on vinyl chloride and from 0.01 to 1% and preferably from 0.01 to 0.5% of said polyfunctional compound. Said process makes it possible to prepare vinyl chloride copolymers exhibiting both a weight content of insoluble matter in tetrahydrofuran of less than 5% and a viscosity index which, at a polymerization temperature of 45 ° C., is greater than 250 ml / g and, at a polymerization temperature of 40 degrees C, is greater than 270 ml / g.
