A PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A CARBON-GRAPHITE COMPONENT, SUCH AS A FUEL CELL HOLDER, FOR USE IN AN ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL, INCLUDES THE OPERATIONS OF FORMING A PRELIMINARY SHEET STRUCTURE COMPRISING A RESIN, FIBERS THAT ARE GRAPHITIS AND AN INORGANIC COMPOUND CONTAINING BORON AND OXYGEN. DIFFERENT DETAILS OF THE PROCESS ARE DEVELOPED, WHICH INFLUENCE THE CARBON YIELD OF THE CELLULOSE FIBERS USED FOR THE PRELIMINARY SHEET AND ON THE THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITIES OF THE COMPONENT. IN ONE OF THE EMBODIMENTS, THE INORGANIC COMPOUND OF BORON AND OXYGEN IS BORIC ACID. |
