titleOfInvention METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DECONTAMINATION OF CLOTHES AND FABRICS CONTAMINATED BY CHEMICAL AND / OR BIOLOGICAL NUCLEAR CONTAMINANTS
abstract Clothes contaminated with radioactive, toxic, biological and / or chemical contaminants are placed in a cleaning drum and this drum is agitated during a wash cycle. A dry cleaning solvent is added to the drum during the initial wash cycle and then emptied into a still tank. Inside this still tank is a neutralizing agent which deactivates biological and toxic contaminants and chemically dissociates chemical contaminants extracted from the cleaning drum with the dry cleaning solvent. Dry cleaning solvent is then continuously added to the drum during the secondary wash cycle and continuously withdrawn from the drum. (CF DRAWING IN BOPI)
