THESE N- (ALKYL OR HIGHER ALKENYL) NEOALCANOAMIDES CONTAIN 5 TO 16 ATOMES OF CARBON IN THEIR ALKANOIC ACID PORTION AND THEY ARE USEFUL TO PROVIDE ANTISTATIC PROPERTIES TO LAUNDRY DURING WASHING AND RINSING OPERATIONS. THE INVENTION ALSO CONSISTS OF INCORPORATING THESE COMPOUNDS IN DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS TO GIVE THEM AN ANTISTATIC ACTIVITY AND POSSIBLY REINFORCING THEIR ACTION OF SOFTENING TISSUES. APPLICATION: ANTISTATIC AGENTS.
