THE DEVICE PERFORMS A CONTINUOUS UPDATE OF THE REFERENCE POSITIONS AND SELECTED LOAD VALUES TO COMPENSATE FOR A DRIFT IN THE CHARACTERISTICS OF TRANSDUCERS 47, 53 USED TO DETERMINE THE LOAD AND THE POSITION OF THE RIGGED GEAR. A WARNING SIGNAL APPEARS WHEN THE ACTUAL LOAD EXCEEDS THE SELECTED VALUE WHEN THE ROD TRAIN REACHES THE UPDATED REFERENCE POSITION, IN THE DOWNSTROKE. APPLICATION TO OIL PRODUCTION.
