abstract | In a process for the production of aromatic polyesters with improved moldability, by the polycondensation of: a) one or more compounds selected from aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acids and their functional derivatives or a) with; b) one or more compounds selected from aromatic dicarboxylic acids and their functional derivatives; and c) one or more compounds selected from aromatic diphenols and their functional derivatives, a process for the production of aromatic polyesters consisting, during this polycondensation, in adding d) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of trihydroxy aromatic compounds , aromatic dihydroxymonocarboxylic acids, aromatic monohydroxydicarboxylic acids and their functional derivatives to the reaction system, all at once or gradually, after which these compounds are reacted. |
