VERMICULITE PARTICLES ARE ADDED TO AN AQUEOUS BIOLOGICAL MEDIA, THE VERMICULITE IS ALLOWED TO ABSORB THIS AQUEOUS MEDIUM, AND THE VERMICULITE IS COATED WITH A POLYMER. A WIDE VARIETY OF CURING, CONDENSING AND GELING AGENTS CAN BE USED TO REINFORCE AND CROSS-LINK THE POLYMER. THE COMPOSITE OBTAINED CAN BE USED AS A CATALYST FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF ASPARTIC ACID, TRYPTOPHAN AND L-PHENYLALANINE. |
