abstract | THE INVENTION CONCERNS A PROCESS FOR THE EXTRACTION, CONCENTRATION AND PURIFICATION OF NATURAL AROMAS OF PLANT ORIGIN, INCLUDING A STEP OF EXTRACTING THE AROMA BY A SUITABLE SOLVENT. ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION, THEN IS CARRIED OUT A PARTIAL SEPARATION BY DISTILLATION OF THE SOLVENT CONTAINED IN THE SOLUTION FROM THE EXTRACTION STEP, THIS DISTILLATION IS INTERRUPTED WHEN THE CONCENTRATION OF THE AROMA IN THE SAID SOLUTION BECOMES SUCH AS THE TEMPERATURE OF EXTRACTION. BOILING OF THE SOLUTION MAY EXCEED THAT OF THE PURE SOLVENT, AND THE RESIDUAL SOLUTION IS THEN SUBJECTED TO STRIPPING BY AN INERT GAS. APPLICATION TO THE EXTRACTION OF FRUIT FLAVORS. |
