abstract | THE INVENTION CONCERNS THE GRANULATION OF ORGANIC PIGMENTS BY WET METHOD. THE PROCESS ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION CONSISTS OF TREATING AN AQUEOUS PIGMENT SUSPENSION WITH LIVE AGITATION WITH A EASILY HYDROLYSABLE CARBOXYLIC ACID ANHYDRIDE, A LIQUID AT ROOM TEMPERATURE OR EASILY LIQUEFIABLE, OR WITH A MIXTURE OF ANHYDRIDES. ACETIC ANHYDRIDE IS PREFERREDLY USED. AFTER HYDROLYSIS OF THE ANHYDRIDE, AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF THE CORRESPONDING ACID OR SALT IS RECOVERED NEXT TO THE GRANULES, DIRECTLY RECOVERABLE IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY. PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE RECOVERY OF ORGANIC SOLVENTS ARE THUS AVOIDED. |
