abstract | THE PRESENT INVENTION CONCERNS THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE PROCESS OF ELECTROLYSIS OF A CHLORIDE SOLUTION OF AN ALKALINE METAL, IN PARTICULAR SODIUM CHLORIDE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INVENTION, A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF A CONCENTRATED SOLUTION OF SODIUM HYDROXIDE AND OF CHLORINE IS PROPOSED, WHICH CONSISTS OF PERFORMING AN ELECTROCHEMICAL DECOMPOSITION OF THE CONCENTRATED SODIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION, AT A TEMPERATURE OF 90-108C, AT A CONCENTRATION OF 4.3-5.3MOLESL, HAS A DEGREE OF DECOMPOSITION OF SODIUM CHLORIDE OF 0.9 TO 1.0 AND A FLOW SPEED OF THE SODIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION THROUGH THE FILTERING DIAPHRAGM OF 3 A 5 HOUR FOR 1A OF THE ELECTROLYSIS CURRENT AND THE ELECTROLYSIS PRODUCTS FROM THE PROCESS ARE DRAINED. THE PRESENT INVENTION FINDS AN APPLICATION IN THE PREPARATION OF A CONCENTRATED SOLUTION OF SODIUM HYDROXIDE AND CHLORINE. |
