THE INVENTION RELATES TO STABLE EMULSIONS OF P-HYDROXYBENZOIC ACID ESTERS. THE EMULSION OF THE INVENTION, OF THE OIL-IN-WATER TYPE, IS FORMED ABOUT 10 TO 60 BY WEIGHT OF AN EUTECTIC OIL CONTAINING THREE OR MORE LOWER ALKYL ESTERS OF P-HYDROXYBENZOIC ACID AS A MIXTURE, ABOUT 1.5 TO 5.0 BY WEIGHT OF AN EMULSIFYING AGENT WHICH MAY BE GELATIN, CASEIN, COLLAGEN, GLYCERYL OLEATE, AMMONIUM OR SODIUM SALT OF NONYLPHENOXYPOLY SULFUR ESTER (ETHYLENEOXY) -ETHANOL OR THEIR MIXTURES AND ABOUT 3 TO 10 BY WEIGHT OF SORBITOL, THE REMAINDER WATER.
