IN THE SYSTEM, A DIAGNOSIS UNIT 30 INCLUDES A STORAGE CIRCUIT RESPONDING TO THE RECOVERY ATTEMPT VALIDATION SIGNAL TO TAKE STATUS SIGNALS DIRECTLY FROM THE FIRST PROCESSOR AND NOT THROUGH A COMMON MAIN MEMORY 20. WHEN THERE IS. IF THE ERROR APPEARS, ANOTHER PROCESSOR 22 PRODUCES AN AVAILABILITY SIGNAL ON COMPLETION OF AN INSTRUCTION. RESPONDING TO THE RESTART AND AVAILABILITY VALIDATION SIGNALS, THE DIAGNOSIS UNIT TRANSFERS THE STATUS SIGNALS TO THE OTHER PROCESSOR FROM THE STORAGE CIRCUIT DIRECTLY AND NOT THROUGH MAIN MEMORY SO THAT THE OTHER PROCESSOR RUNS. 'SPECIAL INSTRUCTION. THE ERROR SIGNAL MAY BE SENT TO THE DIAGNOSIS UNIT AND OR TO THE SECOND PROCESSOR.
