ACCORDING TO THIS PROCESS, AN AGGLOMERUM IS FIRST FORMED INCLUDING A FIBROUS CELLULOSE AND A HYDROPHOBIC POLYMER. THE ION-EXCHANGING AGGLOMERATED FIBROUS CELLULOSE IS THEN CONVERTED INTO DRIFT TO COMMUNICATE ION-EXCHANGE PROPERTIES. THE INVENTION APPLIES IN PARTICULAR TO THE PROCESSING OF FOODSTUFFS.
