PROCESS FOR CULTURING MICROORGANISMS IN A MEDIUM INCLUDING A HYDROPHOBIC MATERIAL CONTAINING MICROORGANISMS, BY THE USE OF NUTRITIVE SUBSTANCES IN A MICROEMULSIONED AQUEOUS SOLUTION IN A LIQUID NOT MISCIBLE TO WATER. WATER SOLUBLE COMPOUNDS SUCH AS UREA, NITRATE, SULPHATE, AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE, WATER SOLUBLE COMPOUNDS ARE USED AS A SOURCE OF NITROGEN. THE MEDIUM MUST ALSO CONTAIN A DIRECTLY ASSIMILABLE SOURCE OF CARBON. APPLICATION OF THIS PROCESS TO THE CULTURE OF MICROORGANISMS, ALLOWING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OPERATIONS CONSISTING OF DEGRADING HYDROCARBONS COVERING A BODY OF WATER OR SOIL; A PARTICULARLY INTERESTING APPLICATION FOR OPERATIONS TO COMBAT BLACK TIDES, BY BIOLOGICAL DEGRADATION. |
