THE MOLECULE CONTAINS A SEQUENCE CORRESPONDING TO ALL OR PART OF THE RIBONUCLEIC ACID OF THE FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE VIRUS AND CODING IN PARTICULAR FOR THE OBTAINING OF AT LEAST ONE PROTEIN FROM THIS VIRUS. THE MOLECULE MAY BE INSERTED INTO A CLONING VECTOR CAPABLE OF EXPRESSING THE DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE, AFTER TRANSFORMATION, BY THIS VECTOR OR SUPPORT, OF A SUITABLE HOST CELL. THE EXPRESSION PRODUCT MAY BE INCORPORATED IN A VACCINE INTENDED TO STIMULATE ANTIBODY PRODUCTION AGAINST THIS VIRUS. THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MAP OF THESE PROTEINS IS ALSO DESCRIBED.
