abstract THE INVENTION IS CONCERNED WITH THE ELIMINATION OF FLUE GAS POLLUTANTS RESULTING FROM THE REGENERATION OF A CRACKING CATALYST. THE PROCESS CONSISTS OF ELIMINATE BY COMBUSTION OF COKE CONTAINING SULFUR AND NITROGEN FROM CATALYST PARTICLES CONTAINING COKE. TO THIS END, THE COKE AND CARBON OXIDE ARE BURNED IN A REGENERATION ZONE FORMED IN A BED 7 OF FLUIDIFIED SOLID PARTICLES; SULFURIC ANHYDRIDE IS REACTED WITH ALUMINA TO FORM SOLID PARTICLES, THEN THE FLUE GASES ARE HEATED AS THEY EXIT THE REGENERATION ZONE.
