THE ADDITION CONCERNS A STATISTICAL PROPYLENE-ETHYLENE COPOLYMER ACCORDING TO THE MAIN PATENT. AN IMPROVEMENT OF THE PRODUCTIVITY OF THE CATALYST IS OBTAINED IN A PROCESS FOR POLYMERIZING PROPYLENE CONDUCTED AT SUFFICIENT PRESSURES TO MAINTAIN PROPYLENE IN THE LIQUID PHASE, BY IMPLEMENTING POLYMERIZATION IN THE PRESENCE OF LITTLE CATALYLESS AN ALUMINUM-TRIALKYL AND A TITANIUM TRI- OR TETRAHALOGENIDE SUPPORTED ON A MAGNESIUM HALOGENIDE. THE POLYMER PRODUCED BY THE ADDITION PROCESS HAS VERY GOOD PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES. |
