IN PREPARATION FOR FORMING THE COATING, GLASS 4 IS THERMALLY CONDITIONED AT A THERMAL CONDITIONING STATION 11 LOCATED BETWEEN THE COATING STATION AND THE FORMING PLANT. THUS REDUCES THE TEMPERATURE GRADIENTS THROUGH THE WIDTH OF THE TAPE, WHICH ALLOWS COATINGS OF A WELL UNIFORM THICKNESS.
