A.PROCESS FOR A TREATMENT OF A HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYAMID STRUCTURE. B. THE POLYAMIDE IS HEATED WITH AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING AN UNSATURE ETHYLENIC MONOMER, A SOURCE OF CARBEN RADICALS, DIFFICULT TO POLYMERIZE UNDER TREATMENT CONDITIONS AND A CATALYST, SOURCE OF HYDROGEN ION OR PROTONS FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. MOLECULES SEPARATED FROM THE MONOMER ARE ADDED TO THE POLYMER CHAINS AVOIDING ANY FORMATION OF GRAFT POLYMER. C. THIS PROCESS VERY CLEARLY IMPROVES THE ANTISTATIC, HYGROSCOPIC AND TINCTORIAL PROPERTIES OF THE BASE STRUCTURE WHICH IS HOWEVER MAINTAINED. |
