ONE OF THE BRANCHES 11 SHAPES AN OPEN OVAL WITH A HOOK 14, 21 AT EACH END WHILE THE SECOND BRANCH 12 HAS A SHAPE THAT ADAPTS TO THE INSIDE OF THE OVAL, SO THAT, WHEN THE CLAMP IS CLOSED, THE BRANCHES ARE LOCKED TOGETHER AT THEIR TWO ENDS AND THE SAFETY OF THE CLAMP DOES NOT DEPEND ON THE INTEGRITY OF HINGE 13, WHICH IS THE WEAKEST ELEMENT. PLIERS ARE APPLIED WITH AN APPROPRIATE PLIERS APPLICATOR. APPLICATIONS TO HEMOSTATIC FORCEPS.
