The apparatus, which ensures the continuous extraction of liquid from a cellulosic pulp, comprises an enclosure 1 provided with inlet 20 and outlet openings 311 for the suspension and orifices 326, 327 for the introduction of replacement liquid. A filter element 304 of conical or wedge shape, the section of which decreases in the direction of flow, is mounted inside the enclosure, so that it can be moved vertically back and forth by motor means 312, 314, and a deflector body 309 is fixed in the internal cavity of the filter element, which communicates with an orifice 308 for the outlet of the liquid.
