IT IS CHARACTERIZED BY AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING PLATINUM, IRIDIUM IV AND OR PALLADIUM II AS WELL AS ONE OR MORE OTHER BASE OR PLATINUM GROUP METALS, BY ADJUSTING THE PH A A VALUE LESS THAN 7, THEN PUTTING THIS SOLUTION IN CONTACT WITH AN ORGANIC PHASE CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE ORGANIC COMPOUND CONTAINING NITROGEN AND AT LEAST ONE ORGANIC COMPOUND CONTAINING OXYGEN, AS THE SOLUTION IS SEPARATED FROM THE ORGANIC SOLUTION NOW CONTAINING THE DESIRED METALS, THEN PUTTING THE ORGANIC PHASE SO OBTAINED IN CONTACT WITH A STRONG ACID SOLUTION SO AS TO COLLECT AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION FROM THE DESIRED METALS.
