PREPARATION OF A CATALYST BASED ON MOLYBDENE AND IRON OXIDES BY PRECIPITATION FROM A SOLUBLE MOLYBDENE COMPOUND AND A SOLUBLE FERRIC SALT, SEPARATION OF THE PRECIPITE FROM THE MOTHER LIQUEURS AND WASHING WITH DEIONIZED WATER. THE MOLYBDIQUE IONS ARE RECOVERED BY TREATMENT OF THE MOTHER LIQUEURS AND THE WASHING WATER WITH A SALIFIED ANIONIC EXCHANGER RESIN WHICH IS THEN PLACED IN CONTACT WITH A METAL ALKALINE HYDROXIDE THUS OBTAINING A METAL ALKALIN MOLYBDATE IN SOLUTION. THE RECOVERED MOLYBDENE CAN BE RECYCLED AT THE PRECIPITATION STAGE AFTER TRANSFORMATION INTO MOLYBDIC ACID BY TREATMENT WITH A STRONG CATIONIC EXCHANGER RESIN AND POSSIBLE TRANSFORMATION INTO AMMONIUM PARAMOLYBDATE. THIS CATALYST IS SUITABLE FOR THE CONVERSION OF METHANOL TO FORMALDEHYDE. |
