THE INVENTION CONCERNS CHEMICAL PROCESSES. THE PROPOSED PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF A CHARCOAL ADSORBANT, IN PARTICULAR FOR THE SELECTIVE ADSORPTION OF SUBSTANCES OF LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT FROM MIXTURES OF THESE WITH MACROMOLECULAR SUBSTANCES, OF THE TYPE INCLUDING A DISPERSION OF ACTIVE PARTICLES IN A CHARCOAL SOLUTION FILM-GENERATING POLYMER IN A SOLVENT, A SEPARATION OF SAID ACTIVE CARBON PARTICLES, WITH THE LAYER OF FILM-GENERATING POLYMER DEPOSITED ON THESE, WITH THE SAID SOLUTION, AND DRYING OF SAID PARTICLES, IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THE ACTIVE CARBON PARTICLES ARE, BEFORE THEIR ABOVE DISPERSION, IMPREGNATED WITH A LIQUID CONTAINING NO FILM-GENERATING POLYMER, AFTER WHICH THE EXCESS OF THIS LIQUID IS SEPARATED FROM THE SAID PARTICLES OF ACTIVE CARBON. THE INVENTION MAKES IN PARTICULARLY REDUCING THE LOWERING OF THE ACTIVITY OF THE CARBON ADSORBANT AND INCREASING ITS SELECTIVITY THANKS TO THE DECREASE IN THE DEGREE OF FILLING OF THE POROUS STRUCTURE OF THE CARBON BY THE FILMOGENOUS POLYMER. |
