Structure with better wear characteristics. It comprises a metal substrate 16 to which a ceramic sealing layer 20 is attached by means of connection means forming a mechanical matrix, such as a multiplicity of studs 16p projecting from the substrate, the sealing layer in ceramic thus formed comprising a regular network of very fine cracks which reduce the thermal stresses in this layer.
