abstract PROCESS FOR REDUCING THE RESIN CONTENT OF CELLULOSE PASTA OBTAINED FROM LIGNOCELLULOSIC MATERIALS, SUCH AS WOOD, HAVING SUBJECT TO STORAGE AND BARKING OPERATIONS. THIS PROCESS IS APPLIED TO CELLULOSE PULP, WHITE OR UNBLANCHED, BUT SIEVED. IT CONSISTS OF BRINGING THE DOUGH TO A CONCENTRATION OF 15 TO 35 IN A DEHYDRATION DEVICE2, TO WHICH ALKALI IS ADDITIONED, IN A PROPORTION SUCH THAT THE QUANTITY OF ALKALI, EVALUATED IN NAOH, IS AT AN INCLUDED VALUE BETWEEN 2 AND 17 G PER KG OF WATER TO SUPPORT THE PASTA. THE PASTE THEN UNDERGOES A GENTLE MECHANICAL TREATMENT IN A SCREW DEFIBER 10, FROM WHICH IT IS SENT TO A TANK12 WHERE IT IS REACTED WITH ADDITIONAL ALKALI FOR A PERIOD BETWEEN 0.1 AND 5 HOURS. THE DISSOLVED RESIN IS THEN REMOVED BY WASHING THE PASTE.
