THE SUBJECT OF THE INVENTION IS A PROCESS FOR CELL CULTURE IN A CULTURE MEDIUM CONTAINING PARTICULAR MICRO-CARRIERS. MICRO-CARRIERS ARE SPHERICAL PARTICLES OF A CROSS-LINKED MACRO-MOLECULAR ORGANIC SUBSTANCE, INSOLUBLE IN WATER BUT INFLATABLE BY WATER, THE SAID PARTICLES CARRYING ON THEIR SURFACES A POLYPEPTIDE BOUND BY A COVALENT ROUTE POSSING THE ABILITY OF LIAISON FIBRONECTIN ON THE BIOSPECIFIC MODE, THE SAID PARTICLES HAVING IN THE STATE INFLATED BY WATER A DENSITY BETWEEN 0.95 AND 1.20GML, PREFERREDLY BETWEEN 1.00 AND 1.10GML, AND HAVING AN AVERAGE PARTICLE SIZE OF 100 AT 500MICRONS.
