THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYPROPYLENE HAVING IMPROVED STRETCHABILITY, CONSISTING OF POLYMERIZING PROPYLENE IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYTIC SYSTEM COMPRISING: A. TITANIUM TRICHLORIDE OBTAINED BY REDLORING TETROSE TETROSE ORGANOALUMINUM AND REACTION OF THE REDUCED SOLID WITH A COMPLEXING AGENT AND A HALOGEN COMPOUND, SIMULTANEOUSLY OR SUCCESSIVELY, AND B. AN ORGANOALUMINUM COMPOUND. THE IMPROVEMENT ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION CONSISTS OF INTRODUCING ETHYLENE JOINTLY WITH PROPYLENE INTO THE REACTION SYSTEM SO THAT THE ETHYLENE CONTENT IN THE RESULTING POLYMER IS IN THE RANGE OF 0.1 TO 1.0 BY WEIGHT. |
