THE SUBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION IS NEW SALTS OF COLORANTS INSOLUBLE IN WATER BUT SOLUBLE IN DIPOLAR AND ORGANIC POLAR APROTIC SOLVENTS. IT IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THEY PRESENT THE FOLLOWING GENERAL FORMULA: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) IN WHICH: THE "CHROMOGENIC CATION" INDICATES A RADICAL OF AN ORGANIC DYE OR AN OPTICAL BRIGHTENER CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE IONIZATION GROUP BASIC; N IS AN INTEGER NUMBER, INDICATING THE NUMBER OF UNITS CONTAINED IN THE POLYMER OF BORIC ESTER; M IS AN ENTIRE NUMBER EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN N.
