THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR THE LIQUID-LIQUID EXTRACTION OF METALS IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION. THIS PROCESS CONSISTS OF PUTTING THE AQUEOUS SOLUTION IN CONTACT WITH AN ORGANIC PHASE CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE COMPLEXING AGENT INSOLUBLE IN WATER AND RESPONDING TO THE GENERAL FORMULA: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) IN WHICH Z AND Z REPRESENT AN OXYGEN ATOM OR A SULFUR ATOM AND MAY BE THE SAME OR DIFFERENT: R AND R IDENTICAL OR DIFFERENT REPRESENT A RADICAL WHOSE SKELETON IS A LINEAR OR RAMIFIED ALKYL GROUP, CYCLOALKYL, ARYL OR ARALKYL CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE ATTRACTOR GROUPING OF ELECTRICAL.
