abstract | THE PRESENT INVENTION CONCERNS A CONTINUOUS PROCESS FOR PREPARING SOLID, STICKY AND PRACTICALLY HOMOGENOUS TERPOLYMERS OF ACRYLAMIDE, OF AN ALKALINE METAL SALT OF ACRYLIC ACID AND OF A HYDULROXYALKYL ACRYLATE, AS WELL AS EVOLUTION OF COPOLYMERS , OF (METH) ACRYLAMIDOALKYLSULPHONIC ACID OR METAL ALKALINE SALT OF THE SAME AND OF (METH) ACRYLAMIDE OR N-ALKYL (METH) ACRYLAMIDE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS PROCEDURE, AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF MONOMERS, AT A SINGLE PHASE, AT A HIGH SOLID CONTENT, FROM TANK 1, IS HEATED QUICKLY (IN 4), FROM TANK 1, IMMEDIATELY BEFORE DEPOSITING A UNIFORM LAYER OF THE SAID SOLUTION AND OF POLYMERIZATION INITIATOR, FROM RESERVOIR 5 ON A MOVABLE SURFACE HAVING A SURFACE TEMPERATURE PRACTICALLY EQUAL, AT THE LOCATION OF THE DEPOSIT, TO THE POLYMERIZATION INITIATION TEMPERATURE.
