THE INVENTION CONCERNS AN ALKANOIC ACID DERIVATIVE OF FORMULA: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) AND CERTAIN OF ITS PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACCEPTABLE SALTS AND ESTERS. ALKANOIC ACID DERIVATIVE AND ITS SALTS AND ESTERS HAVE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY Astonishingly SUPERIOR THAN THAT OF THE REPRESENTATIVE MEMBERS OF A WIDE CLASS OF COMPOUNDS, OF PHENYL ALKANE DERIVATIVES, KNOWN AS HAVING THERAPEPRITIES. ALKANOIC ACID DERIVATIVE ALSO HAS A SURPRISING HIGH ANTIPYRETIC AND ANALGESIC ACTIVITY. THE COMPOUNDS CAN BE CONDUCTED IN A CLASSIC MANNER IN THE FORM OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS. THE COMPOUND CAN BE PREPARED FROM 2- (4- (1-HYDROXY-2-DIMETHYLETHYL) PHENYL) PROPIONIC ACID DIRECTLY BY DEHYDRATION OR BY GOING THROUGH AN ESTER BY DEHYDRATION IN THE PRESENCE OF A FOLLOWING ALCANOL OF A HYDROLYSIS. |
