THE INVENTION RELATES TO A CHARGED REAGENT OPEN-CELL POROUS MATERIAL CONTAINING A POLYMERIC MATRIX OF FORMALPOLYVINYL OR POLYURETHANE FOAM AND A REACTIVE CRUSHED REDOX FIBER AS A CHARGE AT THE FINE MASS OF THE MATERIAL. THE REDOX CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FIBERS ARE OBTAINED BY MEANS OF REDOX AGENTS BOUND BY COVALENT BONDS TO THE FIBER. POLYPHENOLS, ANTHRAQUINONS, NAPHTAQUINONES OR COLORANTS DERIVED FROM PHENOTHIAZINE ARE USED AS REDOX AGENTS. AMONG REDOX FIBERS ARE ALSO INCLUDED METALLIZED FIBERS DERIVED FROM POLYVINYL ALCOHOL, CELLULOSE HYDRATE OR POLYACRYLIC POLYMERS. APPLICATION TO THE PREPARATION OF WATER INTENDED FOR THE SUPPLY OF ENERGY PRODUCTION UNITS WITH HIGH OR VERY HIGH CHARACTERISTICS, TO THE PREPARATION OF DEMINERALIZED WATER OF HIGH PURITY USED IN THE MODERN ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY, TO THE DEEP PURIFICATION OF NITROGEN FROM ITS OXYGENATED MICRO-IMPURITIES AND THE PURIFICATION OF HYDROCARBONS FROM THEIR HYDROGEN SULFIDE IMPURITIES. |
