THE INVENTION CONCERNS AN ENDOLUMINAL ELECTROMYOGRAPHY PROBE OF THE COLON FOR THE EXPLORATION OF COLIC MOTRICITY, PARTICULARLY IN MAN. THIS PROBE INCLUDES A FLEXIBLE BRACKET 1 ADAPTED TO BE INSERTED RECTALLY INTO THE COLON, A PLURALITY OF GROUPS OF CONDUCTIVE ELECTRODES G1 ... G8 DISTRIBUTED ALONG THE BRACKET, CONDUCTORS CONNECTED TO EACH ELECTRODE AND EXTENDING TO IT INTERIOR OF THE FLEXIBLE SUPPORT 1 AND AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR 9 FOR THE CONNECTION OF THESE CONDUCTORS TO AN ELECTROMYOGRAPHY APPARATUS. THE PROBE CONFORMING TO THE INVENTION ALLOWS TO PERFORM A FUNCTIONAL EXPLORATION OF THE MOTORITY OF THE COLON, SIMULTANEOUSLY IN SEVERAL POINTS THEREOF, OVER THE ENTIRE LENGTH AND DURING SIGNIFICANT PERIODS EXTENDING OVER SEVERAL HOURS. |
