THE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION IS A LOW-SIZE HERMETIC REFRIGERATION STAGE CONTAINING HELIUM 3 AND EASILY INCORPORATED IN A CONVENTIONAL HELIUM 4 METAL CRYOSTAT. THE FLOOR CONSISTS ESSENTIALLY OF A METAL ENCLOSURE 11 CONTAINING A CERTAIN VOLUME OF HELIUM 3 AND INCLUDING A FIRST CONTAINER 12 CONSTITUTING THE PUMPING ENCLOSURE WITH A MASS OF A BODY ADSORBING FOR HELIUM 3 AT VERY LOW TEMPERATURE, A SECOND CONTAINER 15 CONDENSER CONSTITUENT FOR COOLED HELIUM 3 AND A DUCT 16. THE INVENTION IS PARTICULARLY APPLIED TO MAINTAIN THE SENSITIVE ELEMENT OF THE INFRARED DETECTOR AT A TEMPERATURE LESS THAN 1K. |
