titleOfInvention PROCESS AND PRODUCT FOR THE PURIFICATION OF AROMATIC ACIDS AND THEIR SALTS
abstract The present invention describes a process for the purification of aromatic sulfonic or carboxylic acids or their salts, by selective flocculation of impurities from aqueous solutions. This process consists of treating an aqueous solution of acids or salts with a basic nitrogenous polymer compound, separating the flocculant formed from the purified solution and isolating the pure product. Use of this process for purifying in particular aromatic sulfonic or carboxylic acids having a molecular weight of 100 to 350.
