GLASS FIBER REINFORCED RESIN COMPOSITIONS |
abstract |
The invention relates to a resin composition reinforced with glass fibers. It comprises an acrylic copolymer consisting mainly of methyl methacrylate, glass fibers and an organic or inorganic compound containing pentavalent phosphorus atoms. The presence of the phosphorus compound makes it possible to greatly reduce the deterioration by bleaching at the interface between the fibers and the resin under the effect of water after a long period of exposure to the open air. |
