titleOfInvention SOOT CHEMICAL DESTRUCTION AGENT AND METHOD FOR ITS APPLICATION AND PREPARATION
abstract It is an aqueous solution of potassium acetate, CH3 CO2 K, and magnesium nitrate, (NO3) 2 Mg, potassium acetate can be replaced by a chemical equivalent in the form of a salt of another alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal of acetic acid or of another organic acid which is, such as acetic acid, customary and inexpensive. This sweeping agent is advantageously applied by spraying into the flame of an oven or boiler burner using an electric vibrator. It is prepared by diluting with water a mixture of concentrated solutions of potassium acetate and magnesium nitrate, prepared previously. This liquid agent is much easier and less dangerous to apply than the powdery solid agents previously employed.
