titleOfInvention | MICROCAPSULES HAVING A MINERAL WALL AND PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION |
abstract | The invention relates to microcapsules having a wall made of a mineral substance and a process for their preparation. To prepare the microcapsules consisting of a core, made of a very viscous liquid substance, encapsulated in a wall of an aggregate of finely divided silica powder, the highly viscous liquid substance is added to a bed of finely divided silica powder. stirring with a blade mill; the resulting microcapsules have a structure that the core of highly viscous liquid substance is coated with a wall of an aggregate of finely divided silica powder with a gelatinized layer formed between the wall and the liquid substance of the core. The invention applies in particular to obtaining microcapsules having a very chemically stable wall, resistant to heat and preventing exudation of the liquid content. Particular application in the manufacture of erasers in which the active agent is a liquid. |
