abstract |
Process for the preparation of 3-amino-rifamycins S and SV having antibiotic activity. A 3-bromorifamycin S is reacted with sodium nitride to give 3-nitro-rifamycin S, which is reduced with zinc powder to give 3-amino-rifamycin SV, from which one can obtain 3-amino-rifamycin S by treatment with an oxidizing agent. |
