titleOfInvention HEPATITIS B SURFACE ANTIGEN
abstract The present invention relates to a method of obtaining hepatitis B surface antigen (abbreviated HB.Ag) from biological fluid obtained from human donors who have suffered from hepatitis B. This method is characterized in that the liquid is treated with ammonium sulphate in an amount sufficient to precipitate a fraction of antigen comprising HB.Ag, which the precipitated fraction is subjected to isopycnic striation and to a zonal speed striation and which one subjects recovers an HB.Ag with a density range of about 1.13 to 1.16 g / ml. The method allows to obtain significant increases in productivity and a significantly reduced operating cost.
