abstract Improved method and apparatus for the determination of glucose in a liquid by contact with glucose oxidase and determination of the amount of hydrogen peroxide produced. Before contact with glucose oxidase, the liquid sample is treated with ion exchange resins and after contact with glucose oxidase, the amount of hydrogen peroxide produced is determined by means of electrodes. to which an alternating voltage with a rectangular period is applied. The method and the apparatus according to the invention can be used advantageously for the determination of glucose in the blood and urine.
