titleOfInvention BIOCIDAL COMPOSITION CONSISTING OF A SOLUTION OF A SALT OF 1-2-BENZISOTHIAZOLINE-3-ONE
abstract The invention relates to the pesticide industry. It relates to a composition comprising a solution which contains 5 to 50% by weight of an alkali metal salt of crude 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one in a hydroxylated organic solvent comprising at least one compound chosen from dipropylene glycol, tripropylene glycol, polypropylene glycols, polyethylene glycols, lower alkyl ethers of diethylene glycol, methanol, ethanol and mixtures of at least one of these solvents with water. These biocidal compositions are preferred for applications requiring indirect contact with food and the protection in metallic packaging of water-based paints which they do not cause to yellow.
