abstract Plasticized polyvinyl chloride polymer compositions. These compositions consist essentially of a polyvinyl chloride polymer, from about 20 phr to about 80 phr of an ester plasticizer and a smoke suppressant and flame retardant, comprising a molybdenum compound. selected from the group consisting of ammonium molybdate salts, metal molybdate salts, and mixtures thereof, as a coating on the surfaces of an extender filler product. The present invention is particularly useful for providing smoke suppressing, flame resistant, polyvinyl chloride polymer compositions.
