abstract The present invention relates to the preparation of glafenin. This is a process for the preparation of 4 (2'-carboxyphenylamino) -7-chloro-quinoline alpha-monoglyceride, characterized in that glyceryl anthranilate is condensed with 4,7dichloro- quinoline and in that the desired product is recovered. The product obtained is a known analgesic agent.
