| abstract | The invention describes fibers of a polymer containing hydroxyl groups with graft polymerization, a process for their production and application. These fibers are obtained by reacting, under grafting conditions, the polymer fibers containing OH groups, in particular cellulosic fibers, with a mixture of acrylic or methacrylic acid and a hydroxyalkyl methacrylate. These fibers disperse well in even hard water and can be used in the production of nonwoven fabrics obtained by wet deposition. |
