abstract The invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry. It relates to various new 4-amino-2- (thiadiazolecarbonylpiperazinyl) -6,7-dimethoxyquinazolines having an anti-hypertensive effect. The thiadiazole radical optionally carries an alkyl or alkoxycarbonylamino radical and is attached via its 4 or 5 position to the carbonyl function. One of the preferred compounds of the invention is 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-Ø4- (5-ethoxy-carbonylamino-1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-carbonyl) piperadizin-1-ylõquinazoline . These compounds are preferred for the treatment of hypertension.
