titleOfInvention RAPIDLY CRYSTALLIZING SEQUENCES COPOLYESTERS AND THEIR PREPARATION PROCESS
abstract Copolyesters are prepared consisting of low glass transition temperature segments and ethylene glycol-based polyester segments united by carboxylic acid ester groups and particular diols, low glass transition temperature polymers are subjected ( less than 0 degrees), having terminal radicals reactive carboxy, hydroxy or esters, to an esterification or transesterification reaction with segments of polyester based on ethylene glycol having a minimum intrinsic viscosity of 0.2 dl / g and particular diols having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, with 3 or 4 carbon atoms between the hydroxy radicals in the presence of suitable catalysts; according to a preferred embodiment, the three components are subjected to a homogenization in the molten state in an extruder, then the solidified extrudate is subjected to a polycondensation in the solid state. The invention applies in particular to copolyesters having molding properties similar to those of polyethylene terephthalate, but whose crystallization behavior is similar to that of polybutylene terephthalate, that is to say which exhibit a high mechanical resistance and very good resistance to solvents which, moreover, crystallize quickly.
